One of the very most satisfying experiences for any musician on tour is to arrive at the venue and everything is already taken cared of. Equipments, publicity and posters are all in their places. All of these do not happen by accident, good planning and advancing the date are the secret. Advancing the date means is the act of calling ahead to the venue and getting in touch with other associated contacts prior to the play date. This includes confirming all the arrangements with appropriate personnel. And most of the work on tour is the responsibility of the road manager.
