Doesnt really matter if you have great songs, that X-factor and incredible recordings if you have no gigs so people can listen to you and see you. Band Gigs is the single, most effective way to let your music be heard and to be able to build your own fan base. The question now is, how do you get gigs. The answer is pretty easy. Record your demo tape. A demo recording, is necessary in getting you booked. These days, a demo may be in the form of a CD and or your band’s website with your original songs on it. It doesnt matter how many songs you put in the CD, it really depends on how many materials you have. If by chance you got a whole album, why the heck not give the whole thing. Another note to take, since a demo technically is not for sale, you can feel free to include covers too. Your own rendition. Your demo need not be radio-ready, by that i mean, it doesnt have to be perfect with the technical aspect. What’s important is the quality of the songwriting and melody.
